Construction Contracts

The construction contract is the heart of the relationship between different parties working on a construction project.  This contract defines the working relationship between the parties. Our firm has extensive in-depth knowledge and experience litigating contractual issues.  This in-depth knowledge and experience give us the insight to know where the hidden landmines and risks are in a contract.

We work with our clients in negotiating contract terms, understanding the potential pitfalls and how to avoid them. Often, the greatest threats in a contract appear in very plain and unassuming places such as the indemnity agreements, insurance requirement clauses, or lien release clauses. Often wrapped in very plain generic language are pitfalls that greatly affect the subcontractor’s ability to dispute or challenge the general or owner’s claims and cause delay to payments.
