Sujit Choudhry established the Center for Constitutional Transitions in 2012 and is its director. He has said that the idea behind this organization was to support constitution building. Sujit Choudhry: A Real Success Story:

Sujit Choudhry is presemtly a Porfessor of Law at the UC Berkeley School of Law. Actually, Sujit Choudhry holds the title of I. Michael Hyman Professor of Law at Berkeley School of Law. Therefore, he holds a prominent and highly respected position with the law school.

Sujit Choudhry’s main area of concentration or focus is that of Constitutional Law. Comparative Constitutional Law is the specific study of comparative constitutional systems of law. Choudhry also served as Dean of Berkeley School of Law for a period of two years. He was the first man of Indian decent to ever be appointed Dean of the Law school.

Prior to becoming Dean at Berkeley School of Law Mr. Choudhry served as Dean at the New York University School of Law. Sujit Choudhry started his career as a law clerk under the direction of Antonio Lamar in Canada. Choudhry had met Antonio Lamar when he was still in law school.

Choudhry also held various positions at the University of Toronto. While at University of Toronto, Sujit Choudhry served as Dean of Students for a time.
