The Catalonian Crisis And What Sujit Choudhry Believes

Sujit Choudhry’s voice is heard today as he stands up to protect the basic values of democracy. The crisis we highlight brought Sujit to write an open letter and for the government of Spain to consider. The issues emerging are about identity and who the Spain country and the Catalonian regions will end up as.

On the side of Spain, there’s an economic place to lose.

The Catalonians believe in their values of liberty, and that they also have the right to secede from Spain. A conflict then arises as the Spanish government refuses to part with the Catalonia region and its people. The ingredient that’s missing is access to open dialogue. Thus far, the Spanish government hasn’t brought a formal discussion to the rising issues.

The Logic Behind Sujit Choudhry’s Plea

What Sujit Choudhry is pleading for is not specifically a side against corruption. The topic of dialogue and discussion is a very sensitive topic. Dialogue brings about everything that makes world expansion possible. The more there is being spoken about, the more there is that’s also being conceptualized by any group of people.

The Catalonian challenge is therefore a challenge on why governments are not as open to dialogue as they could be. Sujit Choudhry voices his opinions because his work in comparative constitutional law has opened his eyes to a way that brings both sides of one argument together. The only possible way for Sujit to bring solutions about is through dialogue.   To read about his published work, check on this.
