Mr. Tran has over 12 years of experience representing clients in numerous areas of the law including business formation, transaction and litigation, construction, insurance coverage, real estate, premises liability, and fire-related injuries.
Mr. Tran is an active member of the local Chamber of Commerce, Business Development Committee and enjoys assisting small, medium, and upstart businesses with business formation, risk management, litigation, and general counsel work.
He has successfully completed over 200 litigated matters including trials, mediation, and arbitration throughout California. He has trained in litigation under the Trial Advocacy Training Program organized by NITA.

Prior to entering the field of law, Mr. Tran was trained in corporate business as an analyst as well as a media buyer and negotiator.
While in law school Mr. Tran served a judicial externship for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California in Santa Ana for the Honorable James Barr as well as the Department of Justice, Office of U.S. Trustee, researching business bankruptcy fraud. Mr. Tran earned his law degree in 1997.
In the height of the dot.com era, Mr. Tran joined the emerging IT industry serving as an associate in the office of the general counsel at DataLogic, Inc. working on contract procurement, insurance coverage, employment disputes, and employment based immigration matters.
In 1999, Mr. Tran joined Fireman's Fund Insurance Company's Staff Counsel as a staff trial attorney and engaged in the defense of general commercial casualty cases, insurance subrogation, premises liability, products liability, and construction defect focusing on the mid size businesses of different industries.
In 2005 Mr. Tran left Fireman’s Fund for private practice. He briefly worked for a large multi-state law firm before founding Plumtree & Tran, LLP. |
